Revelation chapters 9-13

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006/Revelation chapters 9-13
(I'm somehow behind on the blog by one day so I'll skip ahead to where I am now.)

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
"And they [Christians] overcame him [Satan] because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death." —Revelation 12:11

HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
We have the power to defeat sin [Satan], and we will defeat him, because of what Christ did for us on the cross. Jesus promises it will not be easy. In fact, it may even cost us our life. But we must love Christ more than our life and Jesus will redeem us.

This goes deeper than just phyisically dying for Christ. We must, in a sense, die for Him and His cause on a daily basis. We must live our lives as though they are not ours because, well, our lives are not our own.

(Easier said than done, I know.)
