A Thanks-Filled Weekend

A Thanks-filled Weekend
(Except for the poor turkey) ;)

Immediately following work, Erin, Bella, and I will be making the 5 plus hour trip to Packerland. I'm assuming Erin's parents house will be the center of attention once again this year as the Johnson family are all home. I'm also assuming they will be hosting Kevin's cousin and his wife and hopefully we'll also get to see grandma Johnson.

It will be fun to see the Johnson's again. The last time we were there was June (I think). My highlight will be, of course, seeing everyone but also having a full belly and watching THREE football games! Erin would agree with me but she also has plans to see a best friend from high school.

So whatever you have planned for Thanksgiving weekend, be sure to say a prayer for safe travel's and glorify God in everything He has given you! May our heavenly Father bless you all this holiday weekend!

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship and return to you." Genesis 22:5

HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
"we will worship and return to you." We all know the story of Abraham being told to sacrifice Issac. And what I love is that even when they were at the base of the mountain, Abraham knew God was going to come through and both Abraham and Issac would be coming back down. He didn't know how, but he had faith that God knew what He was doing and obeyed Him even when God didn't make sense to him.
