Leif's 26th Birthday

Our Weekend in Sioux Falls

The birthday boy and his beautiful bride.

This is what we pretty much did over the weekend. Watched movies (Rumor Has it... and Memoirs of a Geisha) and relaxed. (Yep, they were pretty happy I took their picture, especially my wife.)

Bella and her green eyes say "hi".

Leif and Cyri gave us a quick tour of this park. (I can't remember the name.) It was fun and cold. HIGHLIGHT: Bella accidentally jumping into a deep puddle. :)

On the way home we stopped in Windom and I just had to stop in the middle of the road and take a picture of what used to be my grandma and grandpa's house.

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? —Romans 2:4

HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
When we sin and "get away with it", does it mean God didn't see it? Or maybe it's ok with Him what we did? Nope, no such luck. When we sin and feel guilty, that's probably the Holy Spirit tugging at our heart strings letting us know that God is ready for us to say "sorry". If God used wrath as His only punishment, I would have been struck by lightning a long time ago. It's a good thing He loves us. (Just don't take advantage of His kindness, after all, what we reap we sow.)

BE IN PRAYER FOR:
THE HOMOSEXUAL CLIMATE OF THE TWIN CITIES

There are an estimated 275,000 homosexuals linving in the Twin Cities. (The homosexual community themselves would claim higher estimates.)

While praying for people practicing homosexuality, we must love them as Christ loved us. If we engage them or if they come to a church we are attending, we must love them and not necessarily focus on their lifestyle, but show them Christ's teachings. After all, there is no sin greater than another. But all sin doesn't have the same consequences either.

HOMOSEXUAL CHURCHES: The following is a list of churches that are exlusively for the homosexual, bi-sexual, and transgender population of the Twin Cities.
• GLBT Church Service — Women of Another Choice, Brooklyn Park
