GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
He walked in all the sins of his father which he had committed before him; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the LORD his God —1 Kings 15:3a
HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
Throughout chapters 15 and 16, sons not only repeated the sins of their fathers, but often exceeded their fathers' wickedness. What a high calling it is to be a parent. To live wholly devoted to God to set an example for our children. On a side note, there is always hope in the Lord for a child to not follow the sins of the their father. Case in point the verse I quoted. Keep reading chapter 15:3–14.
