Eeyore Endeavor
With the first official meeting with our son only 4 months away, Erin has wanted to channel her excitement into something. That something has been crosstitch. She has already done two bibs (one of those is above) and and has just started on a blanket.
Our nursery theme is Winnie the Pooh. I know, how original. Unfortunately they don't have a lot of baby Star Wars and Spider-man. Besides, we don't want him growing up geek like his dad. ;) Anyway, the Eeyore blanket is extremely intimidating. Erin has spent about 3 hours on it and the only thing she has to show for it is an ear.
I'm excited to see what it will look like when done. I'm also impressed when anyone can do "artsy" stuff without a computer. I'm used to making a mistake and being able to hit "command-z". But with crosstitch (and other creative endeavors) undoing a mistake isn't as easy.
Tonight is the start of the NHL Playoffs! I'm psyched and scared at the same time. The 7th ranked Wild have to play 2nd ranked Anaheim. For those of you who remember our fantastic 2003 run, we ended getting swept in the third round by none other than the Ducks. I'm looking for some payback! (Is that a Christian attitude?) Anyway, they play a late game tonight so I'll have to wait for tomorrow to hear our Niklas Backstrom shut out Teemu and the Quacks...err...Ducks.
As a type of parting shot, I'd like to leave you with a couple of pictures titled "Jeckyll and Ike" They are from a blog I freqent and you can see the original post by clicking on the link called "The Millar's".
Enjoy your Wednesday and GO WILD!!!

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
"And to man He said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.'" —Job 28:28
HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
True wisdom is a gift from God. We can't buy it as it is priceless. We can't find it in the world as "it is hidden from the eyes of all living." The only way to get it is from it's creator. "God understands it's way And He knows it's place."
