Erin Hates Cows

After finishing my Bible study this morning, I came upstairs to our bedroom to start getting ready for the day. But something was different. Erin was awake. Not only that, but the first words that came out of her mouth were, "I hate cows".

Huh?

At first I wasn't sure if she really was awake. But then she started laughing and telling me how throughout the night she kept hearing a cow.

Ummm...

Her laughter picked up to the point to where she was at the crying/laughing stage. She was telling me how all night it sounded like there was a cow on our roof. At this point it was getting hard to understand her because she was laughing so hard. She was obviously beyond tired.

Sure enough, I heard a "moooooo". Now I started laughing. What a way to begin the morning. We're assuming the wind was catching/blowing something which made a cow noise. Poor Erin. She was awake most of the night listening to moos.

Thank you God for the simple things in life which makes us laugh.

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007/Esther chapters 1–4

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, "Do not imagine that you in the king's palace can escape any more than all the Jews. "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?" —Esther 4:13 & 14

HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
We are where we are at in life for a reason. That reason, glorify God. It may not be clear how but God put us where we are for His purpose. Esther was given the title of Queen for the sake of the Jewish people. When it was time to put her life on the line for them, she did.

Mordecai makes a great point. God doesn't need us to do His work. We get to. If we don't do it, He'll appoint someone who will.
