Jeremiah 31:20

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007/Jeremiah chapters 29–31

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
"Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him, I certainly still remember him; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him," declares the LORD. —Jeremiah 31:20

HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
Our child/parent relationship with God is so clearly laid out in this passage. God the Father punishes His people/children/the ones He loves, so that they will repent and turn back to Him. That doesn't make God a "mean dad". As His children, we need to recognize He disciplines us out of love and wants nothing but the best for us.
