Jeremiah 8:4b–5

Thursday, June 21st, 2007/Jeremiah chapters 8–10

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
"Do men fall and not get up again? Does one turn away and not repent? Why then has this people, Jerusalem, Turned away in continual apostasy? They hold fast to deceit, They refuse to return." —Jeremiah 8:4b–5

HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
I love the simplicity and the effectiveness of this analogy. When we trip and fall, we quickly get up and hope no once saw and are more careful in the furture. So why should our constant fight with sin be any different? Never stop fighting! It's encouraging to me knowing death brings our fight to a stop and we know we will win!
