R.I.P. Snowmen
With the snow all-but gone, I thought I pay tribute to Calvin and Hobbes' snowmen creations. If you'd like to see more of Calvin's snowmen art, click here. Gotta love his creativity.

This has been a prayer concern in the office for a few weeks now and I haven't felt it appropriate to share on the internet. But I believe it's ok now to share since there will soon be a website about the situation and this blog doesn't get a lot of attention. Having said that, I still want to be extremely sensitive to the couple, especially since they are aquaintence's of ours.
The following is an email from the father-in-law of the mother. It's a longer email but considering she (Brianna) is pregnant with sextuplets (6 babies), you'll know why it's a bit longer.
Dear family, friends, associates and ministry partners,
I normally resist sending out mass emails such as this; however in special circumstances I will do so only as is necessary. Now is such a time. In order to get the word out as quickly as possible I have decided to send this to those of you listed in my email address book. For those of you who have not heard our son (Ryan) and daughter-in-law (Brianna) are pregnant with sextuplets (6 babies). Of course, we are very much rejoicing over this wonderful news. Life is a wonderful gift from God and we are so excited to be able to announce to you the news regarding these 6 new members to our family. Normally one new baby requires a major shift in a household. Can you imagine the changes that 6 new babies will bring? Upon hearing this news, the most common expression that nearly everyone exclaims is, “Wow”!!!
Having said all of this, we are asking for your prayers on behalf of Ryan, Brianna and the babies. According to our limited research only 11 other couples have had sextuplets and none yet from the state of Minnesota. Brianna is currently only 8 weeks pregnant. For the nutrition of the babies she needs to consume approx. 4000 calories per day. This is quite a feat for her, particularly considering her size and the state of nausea that she continually experiences. In addition, we are praying for the full and healthy development of these little ones. In the limited history of sextuplets only 1 mother has ever carried 6 babies as far as 31 weeks. We are hoping that Brianna can go at least 30 weeks for their proper brain and lung development.
At this time, we are putting together a committee of people to help us think through some of the practical day-to-day details. Even at this early stage of pregnancy Brianna is becoming less mobile and requiring more help around the home for things such as cooking and cleaning. Once the babies arrive they will need around the clock support for up to 2 years. Additionally, they will need an 8 passenger vehicle and a house that is large enough for a family of this size. Obviously, this is no small order.
Finally, media will be an important ally during this time; however we do not want to compromise the health of the babies, Brianna or their marriage by any unnecessary invasions of privacy. Maintaining some measure of privacy will be a necessity for their well-being, yet publicity is absolutely essential in order to procure donations at a massive scale (diapers, formula, baby food, car seats, clothes, cribs, etc.).
This is not intended to be an appeal for help; rather it is a means of providing you information and asking for your prayers on their behalf. We will be putting up a website in the near future with regular updates. Hopefully this will be functional sooner than later.
Thank you for your prayers and understanding.
Shawn Morrison
Again, I want to get this point across of the sensitive nature of the situation. I don't want to violate their privacy by telling you all this but the more people we can have praying for them the better.

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
Chapters 23 through 27 were David assigning roles to people for the house of the Lord once it's built. So basically it was a bunch of names for those chapters.
