Isaiah 1:16 & 17
Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007/Isaiah chapter 1
GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
"Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight Cease to do evil, Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow." —Isaiah 1:16 & 17
HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
As followers of Christ (having accepted his free gift of grace by His death and resurrection) we are called to be active in righting wrongs. Kind of a Batman of Christianity if you will. We are told to "learn", "seek", "reprove", "defend", and "plead". Being a Christ follower isn't one hour on Sunday, it's obeying Him and acting on His behalf 24/7.But don't forget the first part of the passage where we are to repent and flee from evil.
