Isaiah 24:1 & 2
Wednesday, May 30th, 2007/Isaiah chapters 21–26
GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
Behold, the LORD lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants. And the people will be like the priest, the servant like his master, the maid like her mistress, the buyer like the seller, the lender like the borrower, the creditor like the debtor. —Isaiah 24:1 & 2
HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
This passage could all but sum up the book of Ecclesiastes. When it's all said and done, our earthly status makes no difference. We all have the same fate. I need to remember that when I get delusions of grandeur or am tempted to look down upon someone whom I feel has a "less important" job than I do.
