Proverbs 23: 4 & 5

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007/Proverbs chapters 19–23

GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, Cease from your consideration of it. When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens. Proverbs 23:4 & 5

HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
Why do we have jobs? Is it for money only or for God's glory as well? If our soul purpose is for money, than we will surely leave the important reasons for life behind. (Family, friends, and our own well being and satisfaction.)

So what then should our focus be? Proverbs 22:4 points us in the right direction. "The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches, honor and life."
