Psalm 141:3
Monday, May 7th, 2007/Psalm chapters 120–142
GOD'S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips. —Psalm 141:3
HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO MY LIFE?
Some of my daily struggles with sin include: patience, pride, and controlling my emotions. The battle with my tongue would also have to be up there. I'm not referring to swearing but gossip, slander, and basically not thinking before I speak. I like how the verse refers to a "door of my lips". Only with God's help can the openess of my screen door mouth become guarded like a vault.
